Mustangs vs. Minis: Australian Muscle Car Masters Show down

If you like a true contrast to your race viewing, this maybe the video for you. It’s a straight up head-to-head race between one of the smallest European cars ever the Austin Mini and straightahead American V8 iron in the form of Ford Mustangs.

The Minis weigh next to nothing and can do the full course flat out with minimal braking, while the Mustangs have far more power and straight-line speed. it’s also a matter of V8 power versus a four cylinder, which on paper shouldn’t be any contest. Both have their specialities which makes great viewing and a great way to see how both ends of the spectrum compete against each other.

This isn’t to say one version of car is better than the other, it’s two completely different ideas for building a car for that time period and how they truly match up.
