Muscle Cars With The Most Horsepower For Your Money

Luckily for us all, we are living through a horsepower renaissance where the big three are scrapping it out to provide the most Hp for the dollar.
The original muscle cars have plenty of bang for the buck, but nothing like today’s horsepower ratings. Now 500 to 600 HP is the norm and with overall advancements, muscle cars of today are easily as good as any other vehicle on the market.
The Dodge Challenger Hellcat comes in at $83.39 per horsepower, with a total 707HP rating. It’s held the top horsepower rating recently, but 2017 and beyond may show the likes of the Camaro hitting back with their own top score.
The Dodge Challenger R/T comes in at $85.32 per horsepower, starting at $31,995 for a 5.7 L Hemi V8 with a total of 375 HP. It’s been a staple of the Dodge range since day one and looks like it always will be.
Going one step further in the Dodge range, the Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pak is a great performance vehicle and comes in at $79.98 per horsepower for a total of 485 HP at $37,995.
The Chevrolet Camaro V6 comes in at $83.85 with a 3.6 L V6, making 335 HP at $28,091. It may not be a V8 engine, but you still get plenty of fun at this price point and the fact you own a Camaro.
If you wanted to up the stakes you could go for the Camaro SS, which is $81.10 per horsepower for a 6.2 L V8 making 455 HP at $36,905.
The Ford Mustang EcoBoost on the surface may not appeal to true muscle car heads, but it costs $83.61 per horsepower with a total of 310 HP at a starting price of $24,915.
The current Mustang V6 is $83.05 per horsepower at 300hp with a pricetag of $24,915.
The Ford Mustang GT is always a winner with it costing $75.68 per horsepower for a total of 435 HP.
As you can see, horsepower doesn’t have to cost you a ton of money to get all the fun you can from a modern muscle car.
