Maybe Consider A Vintage Monte Carlo

The Chevrolet Monte Carlo which ran from 1970 to the 2007 may have been more of a cruiser, but it did have a big heart.
Remember the swivel bucket seats? The ’70 Monte Carlo pictured here had them. Easy in and easy out, but that was not the highlight of the car. No, it was the styling. The Monte Carlo started here as a solid mid sized car that most bought with a 350 V8 engine. Most had those bucket seats up front and a nice console in between. Some had the vinyl top that were so popular back in the day and they all had the features that kept buyers coming back for years to come. Later on there was a Monte Carlo SS, but we will need to table that for another day.
Today, we are here to talk about what started it all. Options such as air conditioning, power windows and an AM/FM radio were popular options.
They all had long hoods like most of the cars did back in the day as well as a large trunk and a full sized spare tire. The car rode well, handled well, and had a very positive resale value. Overall, it was the beginning of a love story between GM and buyers of the Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Clearly, these were very good cars but lack the desirability today to restore them other than back to its original state. Rarely do you see anyone make a street rod or hot rod out of these models but either way the Monte Carlo was and remains to be a car that is loved as much today as it was way back in 1970.
