Hot Rods To Hell Chase Scene

This might not be the most obvious of great car chase scenes, but wait until it gets going.

The scene is from the 1967 Hot Rods to Hell, shot in the desert around Lake Los Angeles and Victorville. Dana Andrews is driving the family and the station wagon being harassed on the road.

What is he to do to shake off these other cars?
Originally, the film was meant for TV, but was viewed as being too intense for TV viewing so ended up in theatres instead.

The movie didn’t do so well at the time, but has built a cult following ever since.
