Gutted Tesla vs Twin Turbo Coyote Mustang

This video shows what happens when a Tesla model S decides to turn up at a street racing party to prove their worth.

The Street outlaw evening has the usual muscle car contenders for the P100D to step up against and on the surface you may think that the Tesla can easily straight ahead with its high torque output. However, the downside is the Tesla’s 4,600 lbs weight, but this has been lightened by 360 lbs with most of the cabin being taken out, replaced by aluminum racing seats. The Tesla also has 19×10-inch wheels with Mickey Thompson drag radials.

In this video the Tesla is up against a twin-turbo Coyote Ford Mustang, which may not have the instant torque capability of an electric vehicle, but like any high-powered gas powered car comes back in the later stages of the race.
