Ford Mustang Is Most Mentioned Muscle Car On Instagram

A study which has reviewed 198,000 Instagram posts reveals that videos and images of the Ford Mustang make it the most mentioned model. This is followed by the Corvette, Camaro, GTO and Bel-Air.

The study did not include posts that did not include the tag Ford Mustang, but the study also highlighted other makes and models which were liked the most. The Pontiac Grand Prix is the most liked #classiccar, followed by the Dodge Charger and the Chevy Camaro. The Mustang in this case only comes in sixth, being beaten by the likes of the Road Runner and Chevelle.

AutoNation, who made the study also show that General Motors have more appeal than the other big brands with the likes of the Camaro and the Corvette. The Chevy Impala is the most liked in the 1950s and the Chevy Chevelle for the 1970s. The Dodge Charger is the winner of the 1960s with their hugely popular first two generations.

Looking at the hashtags of #classiccar and #carshow shows by area Nevada comes first, with California second and Florida third. All of these being hot states where muscle cars will last the longest.

The Mustang is really no surprise, as it’s one of the most numerous and popular of the pony and muscle car world, along with the Camaro, but factors such as fan favorites always come into play.
