The Ford Model A Restoration Update

I promised everyone I would keep you updated on my latest restoration project. This car is a 1928 Ford Model A I found after it sat for 25 years.

Yes, it would have been a great car to hot rod but I wanted this one to be a survivor car. The next Model A will be the hot rod I promise. But back to this car because it’s almost done. Some minor interior work and a stubborn ignition issue is holding up the finality.

Yes it is slow and bulky but it’s really cool. I just could not bring myself to chopping it up. Steel body, straight, original engine and transmission and many original parts. It’s a survivor that has not been through the ringer so I decided to keep it that way. Of course it’s over budget and late as usual but that is what happens in our hobby. One thing always leads to another as the song says. This buggy even has its original glass! Gadzooks.

I will tell you when it’s done and how she runs down the road soon. In the meantime I already made an inquiry about another Model A that would be a perfect candidate for a big time rod. I’ll keep ya posted so don’t worry your diapers in a twist.
