Ford GT Demand Outstrips Supply by 2800%

With only 250 GT’s produced a year, the 500 limited slots had an overwhelming 7000 applications for the latest production of these cars.

It’s unclear who applied and from where, but some sort of priority list will be drawn up for the lucky few. Reports say that those who bought a GT in 2005 or 2006 will be given preferential treatment.

The Ford GT was shown at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2015, showing off its 600 bhp engine and celebrating Fords 50th anniversary of the original GT40 winning Le Mans.

As the car is aimed at supercar territory, it is also at supercar prices at $400,000 in the US.
