A Fine Dodge Dart Ragtop For Your Consideration

I stumbled across this car recently and decided to show it the love it deserves.
Most of these Darts had the slant six engine or a cool 273 V8. The little V8 had some power to it as the car was light. But, how cool is this car?

A convertible Dart in red with a black interior. This would be a great cruiser with that top down and the AM radio blaring. Funny how we all survived the am radio life and now we can install what looks like an AM radio but with modern technology.

These little Darts were cool cars but were never thought of as a fast car. Some made there way to the drag strips back in the day due to how light the car was but, mostly this car was a grocery getting car or a daily driver.
Generally, they were hard tops and very plain Jane sort of cars. The folks that had them loved them for the simple car it was. But, now and then I will see an older Dart that someone has a heart full of love for and brings it back to life. There is a white one at the show I attend and the guy that brings it is always in full love mode. He has the 273 engine and says the car is an easy driver, easy to park and for him he gets a lot of attention. Attention because few are on the roads in the northeast US due to rust.

Don’t turn your back on these little cars. They are cute, slightly fast and yet people will smile and certainly have a story about owning a Dart themselves back in the day.
