Today’s pick of the day is this beautiful 68 Pontiac Firebird with its original 455 engine.
Restorations and restomods are fantastic, but you can’t beat a well maintained classic that has been kept by loving a owner over the years.

‘I’m the 3rd owner of this very solid 68 firebird. The car is from Kentucky to early 80’s. The second owners painted the car and gave to their son as a graduation gift. I bought it from him a year later and owned it since 1983. The car is very solid with no rust. Replaced front fenders, hood and rear fenders. The rest of the car is extremely solid and doors shut perfectly with all original glass throughout. The custom paint job is 3 years old and looks great… Though there are a few scratches. Just a gorgeous car.’

‘The engine is very special to the Pontiac enthusiast. Starts with a Pontiac 455 Block, 428 steel crank. Premium forged pistons are .0030 over with pinked rods. All balanced and blueprinted. Ram Air 3 heads Code#16. new guides, valves and springs with angle valve job. edlebrock intake and a 650 holley carb. Custom headers and 3 inch exhaust. Very fast and loud! 3:73, 10 bolt posi rear end. New gas tank and gas lines.’

‘I have to say this car runs and sounds incredible inside and out. The car drives straight down the road and the front disc brakes help the car stop on a dime. Power steering, new shock and springs gives this car a cadilac ride. Interior is all original seating. New carpet headliner and sails. Dash is very solid. I would drive this car across the country today on premium gas. always runs at 180 degrees.’
