The most collectable Cudas are really up to 1972, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t fine examples around from the following few years. The musclecar era essentially was stopped dead in its tracks by 1974, but as prices steadily increase for all makes and models around this time, a 1974 model is still worthy.
This one comes with a rebuilt 318ci. and from the listing details and some questions been answered on the ad. it has an aluminum SP-318 gas saver intake, Edelbrock carb w/electric choke, new headers and as per the ad.
‘ with dual exhaust and stainless tips through the rear valance,
RBLT 727 automatic, 8.75″ rear w/3.55 gears.
RBLT suspension with fast ratio Pitman and Idler Arms (NEW bushings,
ball joints,
tie rods,
tie rod sleeves,
sway bar, etc.),
ALL NEW brakes from the master cylinder to the pads and shoes (disc front, drum rear),
ALL NEW fuel system from the tank to the carb (3/8″ sending unit and 3/8″ aluminum fuel line), Rallye wheels w/trim rings and center caps.’
The fiberglass shaker hood is also from a AAR/Stinger. it has a new vinyl top, new weatherstripping and seals and the body was apparently painted around 10 years ago, but is starting to show some wear and tear.
The interior is also add some replacement items such as a new headline, new carpets, new wiring and some new gauges. the car is said to have been a regular driver for the seller’s wife up until recently, which should gave some confidence to its driving ability.
This Cuda is currently listed at $20,000, but I’m sure if you put in a reasonable offer, this ride could be yours for a reasonable amount.
