Find Of The Day: A 1970 Plymouth Duster 340 Matching Numbers
These 1970 Plymouth Duster 340 beauties do not pop up very often, especially with everything in original condition and numbers matching.
This example was restored in 1998 over a four year period and has been kept in the condition you see here ever since.
As you can see from the list below, everything is in original condition, with rare B7 Jamacian Blue Paint, original drivetrain and basically original everything.
The problem here is that going over to the Hagerty valuation tool and punching in the VIN number, the valuation comes out at $29,900 for a concours level car and $21,300 for one in excellent condition. The asking price here is $62,500.00. That’s a big gap in pricing. Is the Haggerty tool completely off or is the price very high?
If you follow this link to another 1970 Plymouth Duster 340 for sale on eBay this one is a current at a bid of $8,600 with six days to go. Date correct engine, but not numbers matching.
This car is obviously very rare, but is it worth the asking price? For a Plymouth duster fan wanting a fully documented numbers matching vehicle, it’s at the threshold of the high-end, so a little haggling will be needed in this case.
