Find Of The Day: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona

This find of the day isn’t featured because it’s a bargain, but rather its super rarity and is said to have the lowest VIN Daytona in existence #355101.
The current asking price for this 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona is $249,900.00 which is no small amount, but its said that the car has had a $100k restoration and the low VIN number should make it the earliest Daytona still on the streets. The Dodge Daytona was only produced between 1969 and 1970 and just like the Plymouth Superbird Winged Warrior, it was built to take on NASCAR at the time. Due to poor sales at the time and initial limited numbers, the Dodge Charger Daytona was destined from the start to be a collectors item.
The car comes with matching numbers powertrain, a 440cu. engine and 4 speed manual transmission and as you would expect from the Restoration and asking price the car is in near concour condition. The B5 blue exterior and blue interior look amazing. The car comes with a full Galen report to prove its authenticity. The ad. doesn’t give any details to what documentation comes with the vehicle, but you would hope you get some back history with a car as rare as this one, even initial build sheets would be nice.
It’s a shame it’s not the Hemi version which you would have to pay a lot more for, but these winged warriors are probably some of the rarest in the muscle car world and although it has a high pricetag, you can bet whoever buys this one will have a vehicle that will only continue to increase in value as the years go by. The listing only has a few hours left, so if you want to blow the kids college education, this is the muscle car to do it with.
