Transmission: Manual
Mileage: 90,000
Firstly, this 1966 Ford Fairlane GT it’s been sold by somebody who has nearly finished this car, but has lost interest.
This is usually one of the best scenarios for picking up the batton and finishing the project.
The Fairline is a South Carolina S-code 4 speed car, but still needs work to complete.
The seller has listed a few of these items such as the force in the trunk not being patched the best, bubble showing in the bottom of the passenger side fender with some Bondo showing and the drivers side cowl leaks into the floorboard. The drum brakes also sound like they need work or upgrading.
The car does have a rebuilt 428 engine with CJ heads, carb and exhaust manifolds, but no exhaust pipes fitted.
The cam is a 280H with with an Edelbrock performer RPM intake and original 735 cfm Holley carb. It also has a close ratio small shaft toploader and Hurst shifter, with the original Z bell housing and 4.11 trac-lok, manual steering.
The interior has had new door panels and carpet. Sill plates and some advisers are included but not installed. It also sounds like the wiring may need to be redone.
In total, it sounds like there are quite a few jobs to complete on this car, but nothing major. This could mean this Ford Fairlane GT could make a very nice project for somebody out there.
