Fiat Chrysler Kill Off The Dodge Viper

The news has been on the cards for some time, but now it’s official, the Dodge Viper will cease production in 2017.

However, it’s not all bad news is five special edition Vipers will be released to celebrate the car’s 25th birthday.

The Dodge Viper stood for many things, with one of its standout being its 8.4 L V10 engine producing 645HP and 600 lb/ft of torque, the most torque from a naturally aspirated engine. Big, brutish and never apologetic. the driving experience was raw and really harked back to the days of the original muscle cars.

The last dance of the Dodge Viper will include five limited-edition models, each with a serialized instrument panel, custom car cover with the owners name. Each car will be built in ultra low numbers, making for future rarities.
