Exclusive: The New 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

This official video by the FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) essentially shows you the running footage of the supposedly 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.

We thought the 2017 model would be flying round the track like a getaway driver, but the footage is a more leisurely few laps. Not a bad thing really, when you want to check out the details of the new car.
As you can see, there really doesn’t look like there is much change to the exterior, apart from the obvious black racing stripes. The interior also seems to be more or less the same.

The engine seems to be staying the same with the 6.2 liter/370ci. SRT HEMI Hellcat small-block supercharged V8 engine, with the same power ratings of 707Hp and 650lbs. ft. of torque. All this running through a Tremec 6-speed manual or TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission.
On the strip this makes for a quarter mile time of 10.8 seconds, making for the fastest muscle car yet produced.

As sales and popularity of the Hellcat seem to be as strong as its launch date, why change a good formula.
