Dual of The Day: Rare 1969 Chevy Camaro ZL1 vs 1971 360 AMX.

Here we have a 1969 Camaro ZL1 (COPO 9560) 427CI/430hp, only 23 built with auto transmission versus a 1971 360 AMX.
Hardly a fair battle, but that’s kind of the point of this dual. The 1971 360 AMX is no slouch on the dragstrip, but when it’s up against a 427ci. engine, it’s a bit like a heavyweight boxer fighting a middleweight. It’s more about seeing how they do individually rather than as a fair match up.

The interesting part is seeing their final times, each putting in something respectable.

I wonder how well the AMX would’ve done with a 427ci under the hood??
