The Completely Original Richard Carpenter’s 1970 Plymouth Barracuda

It’s always interesting to see which of the stars of yesteryear or even today were bitten by the muscle car bug, in this case Richard Carpenter from the band The Carpenters.

In some ways, it may not be the obvious choice for Richard Carpenter as their music was quite middle-of-the-road, so to know he has owned a Cuda, shows a different side too his personality.

Still in his possession, the 1970 Plymouth Barracuda 440ci.  is still in original condition.
The powertrain is a six pack, 440ci./390HP and 490lbs. ft. of torque and a TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission.
It has power brakes all round and Goodyear Polygalass GT tires.
What is also cool are the ‘CRPNTR’ plates…sweet!
