Chevy’s ‘Little Red Corvette’ Tribute to Prince

The singer and superstar Prince, sadly passed away at his Paisley Park estate at the age of 57.

Chevrolet’s Corvette tribute was posted on Twitter  which was created by Chevy agency Commonwealth/McCann.
The tribute was inspired by the Prince song, ‘Little Red Corvette’ which was released as a single in 1983, from the album 1999.

The song was played heavily in the early days of MTV, being one of the first videos played by a black artist of the time.
There have been other songs about Chevrolet and Corvettes, but none that have been as popular and as widespread, enough to popularize Corvettes even more around the world. Even for the un-initiated to ask and inquire about this red vehicle, so special in the song.

The lyrics may be a great wordplay on ‘breaking down’ after too many one night stands, but the Corvette meaning is just as linked.
