Chevy SS Hits 163 mph on Texas Toll Road

2014 Chevy SS with Hennessey HPE600 Supercharged upgrade runs 0-163 mph on Grand Parkway toll road near Houston, Texas. SS is limited to 163 mph as factory 6-speed automatic transmission will only allow top speed to be attained in 5th gear.

Thanks to the millions of viewers who saw the Hennessey HPE600 C7 Corvette Stingray run 200.6 mph on this same closed section of Texas Toll Road. We also ran the SS on the same afternoon.
