The Chevrolet FNR Concept Car: Is This The Future?

The Chevrolet FNR concept was first shown at the Shanghai auto show, lately appearing at CES Asia 2016.

The car is meant to be a glimpse of the future with a capsule design, autonomous driving with the front two seats able to rotate around 180 degrees, hubless motors, wireless charging system and as you probably guessed by now, an electric drivetrain. The concept car also has an iris recognition system so only the owner of the car can operate the thing.

The design and all these features are almost like something from a Tron movie, but like any concept car, it gives just a hint of future possibilities.

But how will this play out for muscle cars in the future?
We don’t think we will see a vehicle like this on the road any time yet, so it’s safe to say that our beloved muscle cars are going to be around for at least a decade or two and probably like today, have their own niche market.
