Captain America’s 1967 Camaro
If you had to guess what each of the Marvel Avengers team would have as a muscle car, it could anybodies guess. Watching the latest Avengers movie Iron Man would probably uses his nano tech. to turn his car into anything he wanted, but Capt America may go for something more traditional.
In reality this 1967 Camaro by SpeedKore was produced as a gift by Robert Downey Jr. to Chris Evans who plays Capt. America named the ‘Steve Rodgers’ Special Edition. The full rundown of the car shown on Jay Leno’s Garage Thursday, August 30th, 2018 at 10 PM on CNBC.
A 1967 model was chosen for a few unique features, such as the vent windows. Downey Jr. helped in the design of the car starting with the unique color – ‘melted army man green.’ Subtle changes were made to the exterior to enhance the car’s lines. The interior is kitted out with gorgeous brown leather with a Captain America logo on the steering wheel.
Under the hood is a a supercharged LS3 V8 with 730 horsepower there are four speed automatic transmission. Check out the rest of its features in the video below.
