Camaro SS Snow And Ice Mode: Does It Work?

Depending on where you live in the world, we are now getting into the summer months where snow and cold weather is a distant bad memory. However, its not the case for everybody which means having a car that can handle these conditions is always top of the list, especially with a car that is rearwheel drive and has a high level of performance. The Chevrolet Camaro SS is being tested in this video to check out its snow and ice mode to see if it does what it says on the tin.

Snow, ice and sports/muscle cars with the rearwheel drive are usually a bad mix no matter how much computer power is governing the wheels. It’s like putting an elephant in a snowdrift. They’ll cope with the situation and do the best they can, but they’re just not built or adapted to the environment. It’s a bit of an extreme analogy, but you get the point.

If you check out the video, the Snow And Ice Mode does the best it can at keeping the car planted, but like any rearwheel drive vehicle on snow and ice it’s more down to conscientious driving and skill than anything else. Still, it’s good to see an overview of what these bad weather condition modes can do, special if you’re thinking of buying a Camaro SS and you have snowy conditions where you live.
