Burnout Photo Exhibition: Capturing Muscle Car Culture
Simon Davidson, self-taught photographer, has immersed himself in the muscle car scene for over 12 years, capturing some of the best of muscle car culture across the globe.
His first experience with muscle cars was when he was invited to watch a friend drag race. From then on he immersed himself in muscle car and custom car culture, taking amazing photos from Australia to Los Angeles.
The basis of his photography is to capture those frozen moments between maximum decibels and the sensory overload from the best of burnouts.
“It’s very rough, very dusty, very loud and the crowd can be very obnoxious. I wanted to see if I could find the zen moments, the quiet”, Davidson said.
“It’s imperative to build friendships, to have that trust. I want to do the work to celebrate these people, I want them and their cars looking strong and proud,” he said.
Although most of photos are of the Australian muscle car scene, you can still be inspired by our Australian cousins and the work they are performing, literally.
Who said burnouts can’t be beautiful…………
