Is This Your Average Muscle Car Backyard?

You know the drill when you come across a potential muscle car find at a private residence. You bang on the door and the guy answering it is wearing his pajamas at 3pm. He says he is not selling it and he is going to restore it some day. We all know the story.

Sometimes you must just walk away and leave it for someone else. But backing up thirty minutes I wonder how someone could leave this side yard in this condition. If the outside is this bad my gosh what does the inside of the house look like? With that said do you really still want this ride? The car has possibilities but if metal could talk…… We all see these pictures and wonder why. I wonder how? How did this happen? How do I save it? How much does it cost for me to book myself a room at the local nut job hospital?

Negotiating on these type of finds can be difficult. The owner may not see what is actually there and what it’s worth, now, but only how much it’s worth when restored. So the best bet is to practice your negotiation skills, make it worth their while, and take away the vehicle to have a happier life. It’s like saving a maltreated hound, you know it’s the best thing to do.
