An Amazing 1973 Dodge Challenger

This 1973 Dodge Challenger was sitting right across from me at a car show. I strolled over to look at it and this is what I discovered. A black interior that was redone to perfection. A beautiful 340 engine and a automatic transmission. Bottom line is this car was very nice.

The problem? It’s a 73. Unfortunately the masses ignore classic cars from this area as they know the government choked off the engines and added pollution control devices. So, beauty’s like this do not get any love and Friday night it did not either. While I was at my car with some good friends people passed this classic like it was invisible.

The owner loves this car and said he gets ignored most of the time except by Mopar lovers. I felt bad for him as the car is a really nice classic. But, what can he do about it? Nothing. Maybe in time the masses will better appreciate the cars of this era. I feel like a lone wolf at times when I gawk at these but I can see the day the value will rise. Like all good things it may take more time than we desire but keep the faith. In the meantime the owner told me he doesn’t care. He is just silently enjoying a beautiful car.
