New sixth-gen 1000HP Pontiac Trans Am 455 Super Duty

Just as the big three are producing vehicles with ever more horsepower, such as the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, Hellcat and soon-to-be-released upgraded Mustang and Camaro, the guys over at Trans Am Worldwide are doing their best to produce one of the most powerful muscle cars in the shape of a modern interpretation Pontiac Trans Am 455 Super Duty.

We have featured these incredible vehicles produced by Trans Am Worldwide in the past but their latest creation is based on the sixth generation Camaro with a lighter Alpha chassis along with other upgrades.

Only 50 examples of these fine beasts will be produced which will each have a 455ci Gen V LT1 V8, a 2.3 Liter Magnuson TVS2300 supercharger giving 14 psi of boost, cold air intake, ceramic coated headers and 3.0-inch exhaust all producing 1,000 hp and 1,046 lb-ft of torque. Even more than the upcoming Dodge Demon.

The YouTube video itself says that the engine was built in partnership with an unnamed premier NASCAR engine builder which could just well be Joey Arrington from Arrington Performance. In any case, as you can see this 455 Super Duty it’s not just a mighty fine conversion and muscle car, but the nearest interpretation to what a modern-day Trans Am could be.

for any cynics out there this isn’t just a Camaro upgrade, but the best interpretation of what a modern Trans Am could be. As Pontiac are completely out of the picture these days, it’s really up to guys like Trans Am Worldwide to put their imaginations in action and when the results are as fine as these vehicles, it makes for exciting times in the muscle car world.
