What India Think Of The 2017 Ford Mustang GT
By Dave Ashton
A right-hand drive Ford Mustang may not be the first thing of interest in North America, but since Ford released the Mustang in right-hand drive for the rest of the world to enjoy, there has been a spark of interest for this latest edition pony car from Europe and beyond.
This 2017 Ford Mustang GT review from the guys at cardekho.com show you what India think of the Mustang.
The Indian market get the appeal of a Ford Mustang GT, the muscle car concept and seems to like the initial V8 power, but aren’t particularly sold on the six speed automatic transmission. The wide and aggressive design seems to appeal and you get the same level of technology inside as you would with a US version. One limitation of the India-spec Mustang is that it has been detuned to run on regular gasoline over there, which means less power than a US equivalent, the who’s arguing when you can have a right hand drive V8 engine.
The conclusion here is like what you read about for any other country evaluating a new era pony or muscle car. An affordable V8 car which is an icon, brings you back to a simpler time and ‘makes you feel like a kid again.’
