In the classic musclecar era top-of-the-line tyres usually came from the likes of Firestone and its Wide Oval tires. These were bias-ply tires, but was soon replaced by radials as much sturdier option. Now Coker Tires can provide classic radials to give your muscle car that authentic look.

Radial tyres just don’t look the same as modern counterparts and react differently, so Coker Tires who specialise in tires for classic vehicles and motorcycles released a Firestone Wide Oval tire which look the same as bias ply versions, with the same shoulder, tread pattern, red Stripe and engravings, they were actually radial tires which give an authentic feel and sound as per the originals.

These wide oval radial tires will be produced under licence by cocoa from Firestone available in 14 or 15 inch wheels in the following sizes of ER70-14, FR70-14, GR70-14, FR70-15, GR70-15 and FR60-15. The most popular ones from 1967 to 1974. All have the raised white lettering apart from the FR60-15 with the option of a 3/8 of an inch redline sidewall. to match the 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Corvette, and Ford Mustang the FR60-15 tires will have raised white lettering.

Prices should be around $200 a tire. Check out www.cokertire.com for more details.
