Muscle Car Values Stay Stronger Than Other Vehicles

According to USA Today muscle cars are holding their value better than other vehicles.

As many consumers start to move towards SUVs, the new breed of muscle cars, such as the Chevrolet Camaro, Dodge Challenger or Ford Mustang are not the fad many people thought according to Kelley Blue Book.

“When the muscle car renaissance began more than 10 years ago, a lot of people thought it would be a fad,” said KBB’s Eric Ibara.

“The incentives on them are generally lower, and that leads to higher residual values,” Ibara said. “Cars that have natural demand do better as used cars.”

There are many other factors that contribute to their more buoyant used-car prices, such as Camaros Mustangs having lots of convertibles in the daily rental agencies and muscle car owners being loyal fans.

Maybe it’s just the plain fact that muscle cars are better than the rest!
