That feeling. You all know that feeling. Call it nostalgia, who am I kidding? It’s nostalgia.
It strikes me every time I happen across a 1965 Impala in almost any condition. My Chevy senses tingle and the closer I look the more memories flood my brain.

Case in point: This ’65 Impala SS, slightly resto-modded. It is a little lower, wheels a bit bigger, tires a little wider, suspension a bit beefier, all in tune with what’s cool. The owner has decided that a built 350cu. V8 is the way forward and you can’t blame him. Parts are readily available and plenty of power can be coaxed out of them.

As I examine these photos, I remember “fire drills”, cruising for hours downtown, sneaking out and driving around town, racing anything that got near, taking it on a couple of mind-bending high speed runs to towns a hundred miles away for no reason.

This Impala SS is a fine example of for the price a worthy buy.
