82-Year-Old Grandma Shows Everyone How To Drive!

I love stories that go against most people’s thinking or viewpoints and here is one example.

Shirley Veine, 82, drives a 2000 C5 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and is proving to the world that age is no barrier to putting pedal to metal.
Shirley’s goal was to hit 180 mph, but due to the 5000 feet altitude, she was looking at around 170-175 miles an hour.

We put headers and a larger air intake valve on it,” she said during a local radio interview the week prior to the race. “They put it on the dyno last Thursday and she got up to 181.”

Shirley has probably attracted more attention than the rally’s winner in the 235.7 mph Bugatti Veyron!

More than anything, I think this is a lesson for us all. Never let age be a barrier to anything that you do.
