800-hp Yenko 2017 Chevrolet Corvette GT To Be Unveiled At Barrett-Jackson

For any muscle car fan the name Yenko stands for some of the best and rarest muscle cars ever built. Now you have the chance to get hold of a 2017 Yenko Corvette which will be unveiled at January’s Barrett-Jackson auction.

The name is being used under license from General Marketing Capital Incorporated, with Specialty Vehicles being given the task of the builds. The car can be ordered from a Chevrolet dealer by specifying the Yenko package and for $46,000 extra on top of the price of the $66,445 Grand Sport you could be one of the 50 lucky people to get this special edition Corvette.

The 800 HP and 750 pound-feet of torque isn’t just aftermarket upgrades, but a six-month development which incorporates a stroker kit, increasing displacement to 6.8L/416cu. from 6.2L/376cu., with a 2.9-liter twin-screw supercharger, upgraded 4340 steel crankshaft, H-beam rods and pistons and new fuel system and injectors from the Z06. The SVE guys also fitted a quad exhaust with a nice Yenko sign underneath.

The exterior sports Yenko logos, Yenko striping down the sides and the centre of the car and SYC here and there to let the rest of the world know the rarity you have on your hands. Everything else on the vehicle you can order as per a Corvette Grand Sport with either seven speed manual or eight speed automatic transmissions.

The 2017 Yenko Corvette Grand Sport will be displayed at the Barrett Jackson auction January 14-22 2017.
