The 6th World’s Greatest Drag Race

Each year, Motor Trend gather the best of the muscle car and sports car market for a drag show down from 12 of the best manufacturers.

Editors Jason Cammisa and Jonny Lieberman give you a rundown of each of the contending cars which include a Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE, Dodge Viper ACR, Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R and a Dodge Charger Hellcat. There are a bunch of others, but as we are blinkered to anything outside the muscle car world, we are ignoring those!

We are not giving any spoilers away here, as you’ll have to watch the video, but like any drag race you can’t take it all on just face value. Vehicle cost, power to weight ratio and total driving experience come into play here.

With an unlimited amount of budget some may pick the European counterparts featured here, but one of the takeaway is the whole driving experience, which can’t easily be summed up in one quick drag race.
