This incredible looking 1968 Camaro was shown off at the Hot Rod Magazine 65th Anniversary Homecoming in Pomona, initially made famous by Smokey Yunick.

Yunick never won a Trans Am race in the car, but as you see brief glimpses of in the video, there was much written about his set up and the technical inspections at the time.

After setting speed and endurance records at Bonneville Speedway, the car was sold to Don Yenko.

Some of the modifications done to the Camaro were acid dipped body panels, thinner glass to reduce weight, the front of the car tilt downwards, the windshield laid back for aerodynamics, all four fenders widened, the front subframe Z’ed (to physically move the front suspension higher and lower the front of the car) and the floorpan moved up to lower the car, and many other detailed modifications.

The car was bought in 1993 by Vic Edelbrock, Jr. to be restored.
