2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500R, Not!

Don’t believe everything you see on TV or is it don’t believe everything you read…Anyways, the same is true for the Internet, proven recently with the video shown below of apparently the upcoming 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500R. It definitely got tongues wagging with the proposed new features, but as it turns out the images are not 100% authentic.

The car in the video has plenty of louvers in the hood, huge front end, wider front fenders than the current GT 500, huge air intakes and rear inlets. The car looks like one mean machine, but it’s nothing like other leaked images that have popped up online of the GT500. Other leaked images don’t show the rear inlets, wide fenders or the huge gaping mouth, as shown in the video, will more streamlined design. Shame, as the images in the video do look very cool.

One thing the new GT500 may have is a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 with at least 700 hp running through Ford GT’s dual-clutch gearbox. In any case, we don’t have that long to wait as the GT500 and possibly the GT500 will be debuted at the North American International Auto Show, Detroit this coming January, where all will be revealed.
