2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Spy Shots

The sixth-generation Mustang Shelby GT500 is hotly tipped for release in 2019 as a possible 2020 model with styling and engineering upgrades. Designwise, the front has been given larger intakes on the front fascia and a power bulge in the hood, with the front track widened slightly. The rear end is looking similar to the Shelby GT350R with a larger wing and diffuser.

Engine wise, you will see a supercharged cross-plane crank 5.2-liter V8 for a nice burble sound as God intended, which could get close to 800 HP through a 10-speed automatic transmission co-developed with General Motors. A possible 7-speed dual-clutch, 6-speed manual version could also be offered.

Carbon fibre should abound throughout the car included on the rear wing, wheels and possibly the brake rotors. New and improved side skirts could also be carbon fibre. If the horsepower numbers are touching the 800 mark, clear nearest competitors will be the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE And the the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.
