2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Review

The 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye was announced to much applause recently, having elements from the Hellcat wide-body, the Demon and other Challenger influences. A 6.2-liter V8 with 797Hp, eight-speed automatic only, dual scooped hood, 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds a quarter-mile in 10.8 seconds at 131 mph as its main standouts.

Very nice, but it’s also $10,000 more than a regular Hellcat which boasts a still very tasty 717 horsepower. This video gives you an overview and insight into the Hellcat Redeye and are the added extras worth paying the extra $10k.

Most people will be buying into the Redeye for the extra horsepower and although it does have a lot of Demon influences, the video concludes with the remarks that you can get 90% of what you get with a Redeye in a regular Hellcat. So the conclusion is if the extra horsepower, Demon and other Challenger influences are really worth it to you.

From looks alone, the new Redeye with the dual scoop hood and wide-body influence, is its own unique look. With the increased HP, this edition of the Hellcat is more of a unique offering and feels that bit more exclusive than a regular Hellcat.
