It’s the age-old battle, Mustang vs. Camaro but the next few years will see the most potent examples from both brands and this review from Kelley Blue Book gives you a glimpse into what is in store for the 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R and 2017 Chevy Camaro ZL1. 50 years in and both vehicles are still battling it out with their top models.

Micah Muzio and Zach Vlasuk trial the 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R and 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, both highly potent modern day pony/muscle cars and although each have completely different powertrains and setups, it’s more than just subjectivity for which one is the best here. The 2017 Ford Shelby Mustang GT350R has a 5.2-liter flat plane crank V8 with 526Hp compared to the Camaros 6.2-liter supercharged V8 with 650hp. A big difference in power which will really only be shown on both cars hit the track. In everyday use, both vehicles can be daily drivers, but that’s not really why you by vehicles such as these.

The comparison here is short but gets straight to the point and gives you a good case for both cars if you’re in the market to buy one of these. The competition between Ford and Chevrolet looks like it will never end, which is probably a healthy thing for the consumer in the long run.
