2017 Camaro SS 990 HP Fireball Hits 9 Second Pass at 149 mph

With the upcoming Dodge Demon seemingly getting all the headlines for what will be the fastest muscle/pony car, Fireball seem to turn the tables with the world’s fastest Camaro, upping the anti to produce a vehicle that can do a quarter-mile pass in nine seconds hundred and 49 mph.

The 2017 sixth generation Camaro SS LT1 delivers 900 HP and 677 lb-ft of torque with upgraded ported heads, supercharger and high-performance lifters amongst other upgrades. The actual pass in the video comes in at 9.006 pass at 149 mph.

What will be interesting is when the first Dodge Demons hit the street or dragstrip and get put up against the likes of these vehicles. Interesting times ahead…
