The Buick GNX was last dance for the Grand National line in the late 80s and it sure went out with a bang. With real-world power of around 300hp and 420 ft/lb of torque, the GNX smashed the pants off supercars of the time like the Ferrari F40 and Porsche 930 (basically, the task of most muscle cars!)
There were only 547 built, this one being number 242 as displayed with a plaque on the dash. Like all GNX owners, they are kept in very good condition and this one seems to have had a repaint early in its life by the dealer. a good thing as the original wasn’t up to par and it now has a mirror like shine.
The interior and exterior both in great shape, with possibly only some minor blemishes on things like the steering wheel. Being looked after by a clear Grand National enthusiasts also helps. The engine and bay look very clean and clearly looked after. The car can be driven straightaway and is said to have had a recent tuneup.
For such a limited edition and revered vehicle, a GNX in this condition can fetch easily over $100k. they also don’t pop-up often for sale as it’s mostly enthusiasts who own these vehicles.
