Readers Rides
1984 20th Anniversary Mustang GT350 by Marshall Corrie.
There are as many ways to find a vehicle as there are colors of the rainbow.
This readers ride submission by Marshall was a happy coincidence, as a friend just wanting to off load a vehicle that had been lying around for years.
‘1 of 362 hatchback 20th Anniversaries with turbo 4 cylinder/T-5 transmission.’
‘Rescued from a potential V8 swap and drag racing duties by a buddy of mine, Mike Malone. The car sat by the side of his garage, covered for approximately 10 years.’
‘2 years ago, I was tasked with finding a buyer. I advertised the car on Mustang sites with no luck. I did further research into what the car was from the VIN and door stickers. Found out it was a low production car and told him I wanted it.’
‘Current upgrades include ’87+ 4 lug disc brakes in front, 16″ x 8″ Boyd Coddington Star wheels on Kumho tires, Eibach Sportline springs and Energy Suspension spring isolators front and rear, urethane engine mounts, e-fan, SVO intercooler, HURST billet short throw shifter with boot, knob and shifter bezel. Installed rear window louvers (freebie from a buddy). Also equipped with dealer installed “Fun roof”.
