1972 Chevrolet Impala Custom: The Big Green Machine
Chevrolet Impala’s have always been fantastic cars, both to look at and work on.
Their golden era versions, from their very first generation always looked fantastic, front to back. They just simply had character, so it’s great when we get a reader submission which in this case is a 72 Impala custom, which has been treated to an upgraded engine and restoration.
The Chevrolet Impala’s was first released in 1958 and apart from a few years layoff, is still being produced today.
Originally the Chevrolet Bel Air Impala, the idea was to have the ultimate in comfort and luxury as well as a machine which could cover all bases, from a sports coupe to a luxurious convertible.
During the prime musclecar era, the Impala was a great platforms for squeezing that extra bit of horsepower from, along with being extremely tough and rugged.
No wonder they are still cherished today and sought-after by enthusiasts who cover the full spectrum from owning completely stock factory vehicles to the wildest custom jobs.
