1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS One of None!
Starting with a dry Arizona car showing under 70k miles at the time, this wagon was transformed into a thing of beauty, drivability & utility.
The already nice body had the drip rails removed as well as it’s body moldings. A new steel Cowl Induction hood & Super Sport grille were installed. The gaps were then made tighter and the panels blocked straighter than factory. A deep maroon finish was applied then sanded flat and polished like glass. While doing the SS hood stripes, the upper door frames and pillars were painted black for a seamless look down the sides.
The glass was tinted and re-installed with new felts and weatherstrip all around. No cheap aftermarket bumpers here, the factory bumpers were triple plated along with the outer door handles. New outer mirrors and lamp bezels were installed.
The factory 350 / TH350 power plant remains with the now functional Cowl Induction system for extra air intake to the dual Flowmaster System out the back being added. All NEW tune-up, belts, hoses, radiator, fan clutch, master brake cylinder etc were installed for added future reliability for that Power Tour or long run should you decide to go. Of course the FACTORY A/C blows ICE Cold.
It’s sports a Hotchkiss tubular A-arm suspension system with disc brakes at all four corners. New drop spindles, lowering springs & shocks bring this baby down the right way for awesome cornering & stopping. All other wearable hard parts & bushings within the steering & suspension system were replaced with new as well. It sports Boss 338 wheels with 20 x 8.5 up front & 20 x 10 in the rear all wrapped in lifetime warranty Falken rubber.
The inside features a quad bucket seat set-up with a full length console from front to rear. Everything is wrapped in faux black leather and suede, even the headliner is suede. A new dash pad & trick billet wheel were added. The outrageous Kicker sub, multi-speaker, dual amp, CD Satellite radio will knock your socks off! Before any of this was done the WHOLE inside was fitted with Dynamat sound deaden-er. All this was created by Unique Interiors in Arizona.
