1971 Cutlass 442 Clone with 455 LSX by Dan Eldredge

By  |

Some people don’t like the idea of a clone car, but when it turns out as nice as this one, why not turn whatever you have into whatever you want.
Taking a base model then using it as a blank canvas can be a great way to spur on your creativity. But points of view aside, it’s really about the final product and if it meets the expectations of its creator.

Dan could almost call this a restomod with all the upgrades, but preferred to keep a more classic look.
As you can see, fine work all around.

‘1971 Cutlass 442 Clone with 455 LSX engine, LS7 heads and intake. Monster Stage 2 4L80E transmission with 3000 rpm converter. Chevelle 12 bolt with 4:10 gears and limited slip. Disk brake conversion and using hydraulic booster (hydroboost). Coilovers and tubular control arms up front.’
