This 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS may look a bit patchwork like, but it is the real deal, has the ubiquitous 454ci. V8 engine and seems to not have any rust. Being a real deal SS LS5 454 makes this a solid car which is well on its way to a full restoration.
The ad. Says that the car has been in storage since 1977 and the current engine is a 1971 LS5 454ci. freshly rebuilt and bored .030 over with Sealed Power Hypereutectic slightly domed pistons, new cam and a bunch of other upgrades. Clearly the engine won’t need that much work.
The bodywork is solid with NOS panels, which are said to have a few dings and scratches, but it’s the solid rust free car that matters. the interior is said to be in good condition for the door panels, quarter trims carpets may need replacing and the seats to be reupholstered. The suspension is also said to need attention, but it’s not clear if they need completely replacing or not.
Overall this Chevelle is well on its way to make a great restoration project just needs the right person with the right amount of dedication to finish off the work.
