1971 Buick GS Numbers Matching, Fresh Restoration By Randy Garrett.
‘The car was originally used as a daily driver by a lady who owned it in Pensacola, FL. She was only the second owner.’ ‘It was in decent mechanical shape, but the interior, paint, and body were in rough shape.’
‘This is the way I discovered the car in late 2013, as below.’
‘A quick check revealed that it was a true 1971 GS with a completely numbers matching drive train, 350 c.i. engine and Turbo 350 transmission. The rest of the drive train is also completely original to the car from the rally wheels to the thru-hood ram air system. The engine had been rebuilt at around 75000 miles (current odometer is around 91000). I also discovered that the original color was Cortez Gold and after two years, I have restored it to its original interior and exterior color and trim.’
‘I have a few more details to finish up, which should take about another week.’
