A special Hemi engine built by Sox & Martin.
One of just 93 produced out of the 1,920 Superbirds.
Mainly raced at York 30 drag strip, its fastest time was a 10.98 at 127 MPH.

Mike Hill is trying to find the rides original Hemi engine, – “I am in search of the original 426 street Hemi that came out of this car. I have talked to both Tim Richards and Paul Messemer; both confirm the engine was sold to a fellow drag racer named Bob Chipper.”

Hill stated: “A $1,000 “Finder’s Fee” will be awarded for information leading to the whereabouts and purchase of this engine. Anyone having information on the whereabouts of the original engine for this car, please contact Mike Hill, 803-236-8828.”
