Original Hemis come up for sale less and less and cost more every year, so finding one which is all original with interesting back story is a great find. This 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Hemi was specially ordered on April fools day 1970 by a a 21 year old Vietnam soldier. The guy had a family and tucked the car away in a barn for the next 30 years. In 2005 he sold it to the present owner, now ready to move on again.

The car is numbers matching, runs and drives and has had a new fuel tank, master cylinder and some other items, keeping all the originals which have been replaced with new parts, like exhaust system. Seeing as the car has been tucked away in a barn for decades, it’s in good shape considering. There doesn’t seem to be any rust here, panels are straight and the paintwork, lthough faded is also in great shape.

There’s plenty of documentation that comes with the car and even some images of the original owner, adding to the car’s interest. It’s not cheap at $119,300.00, but whoever owns this car next will definitely have a vehicle that will ever-increasing value.
