This 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Gran Coupe is a prime contender for a full restoration in the right hands, still wearing its original paint and most of the bits needed to get you started. Its original 318 engine went long ago and has been replaced by a 383ci., which is currently stuck.
Although from a distance the exterior looks ok, there’s clearly a lot of rust on both panels and the framework. Like any vehicle, the less welding needed the better, but in this case you will need a lot of sheet metal work to get this project going. This will always be the deciding factor when deciding to take on a project, so be prepared for a lot of money invested in this area.
You do have what seems to be the bare bones of a complete project here, but if you factor in all the welding work and hopefully getting the included engine up and running, you’ve got a lot of investment here. In essence, I would make an offer, but well below the $15,000 mark to move forward with this project. What do you guys think?
